I wasn’t there in any profession capacity but I’ll take any chance I get to add to my body of work. Nothing technical here, just a long lens, a stiff ocean breeze and a few worthy photos. I did take the opportunity to learn a few things about concert photography, one of which is that the best place to be in NOT right in front of the performer, as you can see in the Steve Earle photos, there is always a big black mic in the way. The others, taken at a 45 degree angle are composed much better
I wouldn’t say that I know how to take great concert photos yet but every time I do I learn something.
